Configuring Domain Management Billing Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes The Domain Management service module automatically renews domains associated with the service. If the service is not paid for, the domain is not renewed until a payment is received. The module calls out to the registrar every day to update the registration and expiration dates for a subset of the domains in Ubersmith. Over the course of a month, all domains are brought up to date. If the service is pre-billed for an upcoming renewal, provided it has been paid, the domain is renewed when the service is renewed. If the service is canceled, either manually or for non-payment, the module sets the domain’s auto-renew setting to off with the registrar. If it's later reactivated, the domain is renewed. In order to begin billing for this service, you need to configure Ubersmith. Once all the necessary pieces have been configured, any current or new service based on the service plan will be ready. The configuration steps are as follows: Create a generic domain management billing service plan Configure domain registrars Add the Domain Management service module to your service plan Create a domain management billing service Configure the service plan with the service module fields.
