Configuring vCloud and vCenter Chargeback Billing Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes The vCloud vCenter Chargeback service module allows you to bill for vSphere virtual machine usage managed by vCloud Director. Once your vCloud vCenter Chargeback usage service renews, your client’s usage stats and the total amount due for the previous period is calculated. Note The vCenter Chargeback has been sunsetted by VMware. The module has been kept on for those users still using the service. In order to begin billing for this service, you need to configure Ubersmith. Once all the necessary pieces have been configured, any current or new service based on the service plan will be ready. The configuration steps are as follows: Create a generic vCloud and vCenter Chargeback billing service plan. Configure the vCloud vCenter Chargeback device module Add the vCenter vCloud Chargeback service module to your service plan Configure the service module (below). Create a vCloud vCenter Chargeback billing service Configure the service plan with the service module fields. Associate your device to your service Configuring the Service Module In the vCloud Device ID field, enter the device number of the vSphere virtual machine.
