Managing Leads Estimated Reading Time: 2 Minutes Once a lead exists in Sales Manager, you can view its details, edit it, deactivate it, reactivate it, and convert it to a client. Viewing a Lead Click Sales in the left sidebar, then View Leads under I Want To…, to see the list of leads. Click a lead's ID to open the View Lead page. Editing a Lead Open the View Lead page. Click Edit Lead. Make your changes on the Contact Info, Account Info, or Custom Fields tab. Click Save. Note: The Edit Lead popup has no Login tab. To change login settings, see Managing Login Access below. Changing the Email Address Changing a lead's email address requires your own admin password, because email changes affect account security. Open the View Lead page and click Edit Lead. Next to Email, click edit. Enter the new email address. Click Save. In the Please confirm your password to continue prompt, enter your password. Click Continue. Managing Login Access Click edit on the Login Information section of the View Lead page to open Login Options. Login Check Enable Login to let the lead log in to the Client Portal. Enter a New Login to change the login name. Check Notify client of new login details to email the lead about the change. Click Save. Sending a Password Reset Code Click the Send Password Reset Code tab. Set how many hours the code stays valid (defaults to 2). Click Send Reset Code to email the lead a link to reset their password. Unlocking an Account An account locks automatically for 30 minutes after more than 3 incorrect login attempts. Click the Unlock tab to see whether the account is currently locked. If it is, click Unlock Account to clear the lock before the 30 minutes pass; otherwise the button stays disabled. Deactivating a Lead Deactivating a lead removes it from the Leads list. Any opportunities linked to the lead stay in place. Open the View Lead page. Click Deactivate Lead. Click Deactivate Client to confirm. Reactivating a Lead Find the deactivated lead using Search or the Client Manager's deactivated client list. Open the lead's profile. Click Reactivate Client. Click Reactivate Client again to confirm. Note: Reactivating only restores the lead's account record. It does not restore services, credits, queued charges, or invoices tied to the lead. Converting a Lead to a Client A lead becomes a client automatically when an order's Provision Client action runs. See Provision Lead in Ubersmith Order Module for that flow. To convert a lead manually: Open the View Lead page. Click Edit Lead. On the Account Info tab, set Status to Active. Click Save.
