Configuring vCloud and vCenter Chargeback Device Modules Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes Configuring Ubersmith's vCloud integration is very similar to configuring Bandwidth monitoring and Bandwidth billing. The process involves the interaction between a device module and a service module. The first step will be to add or update a device type in Settings to be used for these devices. To this newly created device type you'll need to add the "vCloud vCenter Chargeback" device module. After that, add a device of that type to the Device Manager or assign the device type to an appropriate existing device. Click 'edit' on the device module panel on the device's details page. Here you'll need to specify the server, username, and password and timeout values to be used for connecting to the vCloud server. After the device is configured you'll need to do a similar setup with a service. First add or update a service plan and enable the vCloud vCenter Chargeback service module for it. On that same popup under the config tab, enter the Device ID number of the device that you used in the first step. Lastly, in the plan configuration you'll need to make sure that the post-renew option is set to yes.Once the module and plan are configured you can add a service under this plan to the client's account. Click edit on the service module panel on the service's details page to specify the hierarchy, cost model and (optionally) the credit limit for it. Once all of that is taken care of you should see the report information on the service details page immediately. Ubersmith will now bill for the service based on the renewal schedule you've configured.
