Configuring Company Identity Estimated Reading Time: 2 Minutes The Company Identity page sets how Ubersmith identifies your company: the web address of Ubersmith, your company name and address, the default country, and the default email address. These settings apply to one brand. If you have more than one brand, select the brand at the top of the page before you change the settings. Each brand has its own company identity. The Company Identity page is also step 1 of 4 of the Welcome Wizard. For more information, refer to the article "Welcome Wizard". Open the Company Identity page Go to Settings. Under Getting Started, click Company Identity. You can also click Company Identity under Quick Links. Complete the settings Complete the fields. See the table below. Click Update. Ubersmith shows "Company identity settings updated." If you use the Welcome Wizard, click Next >> instead. Ubersmith saves the settings and opens the next step. Section Field Description Server URL Server URL The web address of Ubersmith for this brand, for example https://billing.example.com. Ubersmith uses this address in links, for example in emails, quotes, and order forms. Ubersmith also uses it to find the brand for the web address that a user opens. Company Name Company Name The name of your company. Ubersmith shows it on PDF invoices, quotes, credits, and statements, and on the login page and the client portal. Company Address Street Address, City, State, ZIP+4, Country/Territory The mailing address of your company. In ZIP+4, type the ZIP code in the first box. Optional: type the 4-digit extension in the second box. Company Default Country Country The default country for new clients and leads. Ubersmith also shows this country first in country lists. Default Email Address Default Reply-to Email Address The default address for the email that Ubersmith sends, for example billing@example.com. Ubersmith uses this address when an email has no other sender address. Type the full Server URL, with https://. If you do not type http:// or https://, Ubersmith adds http://. To accept credit card data, Ubersmith must use HTTPS. The Server URL is the same setting as the Web Address of the brand in Settings > Brands. If you change it on one page, the other page also changes. Always type a Default Reply-to Email Address. If it is empty, some emails have no sender address. For example, the Sender field in Email Client Base is empty.
