There are two methods for logging into Ubersmith. The first is an initial login, and the second method includes an initial login followed by two-factor authentication, which adds an extra layer of security. This topic contains both methods.

Initial Log In Steps

1. From an Internet browser, navigate to your Ubersmith URL (web) address.
   
   The Ubersmith login window appears.
     
    
2. Complete the Ubersmith login window as follows:

• Login Name: Type your Ubersmith user name.
• Password: Type your Ubersmith password.
• Click Login.
  
  The Ubersmith Welcome window appears.

Two-Factor Authentication Log In Steps

Admin, client, and contact users can all use two-factor authentication to add another layer of security when logging into Ubersmith. This method requires users to download a two-factor authentication application to a mobile device, add the functionality to Ubersmith, and then enable it for users. See the following topics for instructions:

After entering your user name and password during the initial Ubersmith login, you are prompted for a single-use code to complete the login process. This code can be access from your mobile device, or verbally communicated over the phone. This section contains steps for logging into Ubersmith as both an admin user and as a client and/or contact user. 

Admin Users

After completing the initial login, the two-factor authentication window appears.

1. Complete the two-factor authentication window as follows:

• Device: Ensure your device’s number is displayed.
• Select the appropriate method to receive your authentication code. 

• • Push: A request is pushed to your mobile device. Approve the login through your third-party two-factor authorization application.
  • Phone call: Your mobile device will receive a phone call. Follow the automated instructions to approve your login.
  • Passcode: On your mobile device, access your third-party two-factor authentication application to look up your passcode. Enter the passcode in the Ubersmith passcode field to continue.

1.  Click Log In. 
   The Ubersmith Welcome window appears.
