The Switch Management service module disables and reactivates switch ports assigned to related devices when their service is either canceled or reactivated. Individual switch ports need to be configured on the device to enable this service moduleManagement service module controls switch ports for any associated devices. When a service is suspended or canceled, the switch port is turned off. When a service is reactivated, the switch ports is turned back on.

In order to begin billing for this service, you need to configure Ubersmith. Once all the necessary pieces have been configured, any current or new service based on the service plan will be ready. The configuration steps are as follows:

1. Create a generic switch management billing service plan.
2. Configure your device and it's switches.
3. Configure the Switch Information device module.
4. Add the Switch Management service module to your service plan.
5. Create a switch management billing service.
6. Configure the service plan with the service module fields.
7. Associate your device to your service.
