When adding and editing monitor types, you can specify the following information:
Name
This is the identifier of the monitor type and can be titled in any descriptive way
Actions
You can set multiple rules, using the following actions:
Additional rules can be added by clicking the 'More' button in the Monitor Type popup window.
When finished creating the Monitor Type, clicking 'Save' at the bottom of the page will save your work. If adding a new Monitor Type, clicking 'Save & New' will create your new monitor and provide you with the fields to create another Monitor Type.

Send Text
Once a connection with the remote host is open, the text specified will be sent to the open socket, and the monitor will wait for a response.
Send Single Line (with /n)
Match Regular Expression
You may specify a regular expression to which the response from the remote host should match.
Match Exact
You may specify the exact response the monitor should receive from the remote host to confirm it is functioning properly. Partial matches of the defined text will cause the monitor to fail.
End of Script
This selection is required for all monitor types; no text needs to be specified in the text box associated with this action. Any additional actions beyond the 'End of Script' action will be ignored.
