Configuring VM Management

The VM Management service module enables actions to be taken on virtual machines based on the state of its associated service. 

In order to begin billing for this service, you need to configure Ubersmith. Once all the necessary pieces have been configured, any current or new service based on the service plan will be ready. The configuration steps are as follows:

1. Associate the VM management service plan to another appropriate service.
2. Configure the Virtual Machine device module.
3. Create an actual VM to create individual devices from.
4. Configure a virtual machine host device.
5. Add the VM Management service module to your service plan.
6. Configure the service module (below).
7. Configure the service plan with the service module fields.
8. Associate your virtual machine device to your service.

Configuring the Service Module

1. In the On Service Suspension field, select either Disable VM or Do Nothing.
2. In the On Service Unsuspension field, select either Enable VM or Do Nothing.
3. In the On Service Cancellation field, select either Disable VM, Destroy VM or Do Nothing.
4. In the On Service Reactivation field, select either Enable VM or Do Nothing.
5. In the On Service End field, select either Disable VM, Destroy VM or Do Nothing.
6. In the On Service Deactivation field, select either Disable VM, Destroy VM or Do Nothing.
